How it all started:

I am Paige Haight. I’ve grown up around Belleville, Ontario my whole life. I remember stressing about what I wanted to do when I grew up since elementary school. From so early on, I was scared I wouldn’t find something that I was happy doing for my whole life. I have always loved art and design but never understood how it could be part of my career. Fortunately for me, I realized in high school that it was my dream to start my own business. I wanted to start something that encompassed my passions and left me feeling fulfilled. Later on I realized that my love for design transferred into a love for marketing and business in general. I decided although I may not know what it was, I did know I would start a business one day.

I decided I wanted to go to college for business to simply learn more about business and set myself up for success when launching my own. I attended the general business program at St. Lawrence college and learned a lot. I am grateful for what I learned and feel as though I became a more well-rounded individual. Sadly enough, as my final semester began, I was going through a breakup. Of course…I was sad, but it flipped a switch for me. I recognized it was a new chapter of my life where I didn’t rely on anyone and it was up to me to independently fulfill my own life. I allowed myself to grieve this relationship but also reminded myself I had so much joy and love right in front of me. I could not allow myself to be stuck in a place of missing a future that no longer existed. My future was now fully in my own hands. Something about that was really empowering.

I took the leap and began the start of my business while I was still in school. I completed every single business assignment around Beyond Tuesday to gain feedback from experienced professionals. I designed everything around the goal of inspiring and empowering people to live in the moment. I don’t want people to miss out on what is right in front of them and feel stuck worrying about the past or the future (neither of which are in our control).

I want this brand to encourage independence, self-growth, and to push people to be more present. I came up with Beyond Tuesday because Tuesdays are at the beginning of the work week for those of us working Monday-Friday. It is often full of mundane tasks and I feel like it’s a day everyone is just trying to get through. Personally, I am not willing to live every Tuesday waiting for Friday. I have the power to make any day the best day ever. I am pushing people to look ‘beyond’ the name of the day, and go make the most of it, no matter what day it might be.

I have designed each piece with so much consideration and so much love. I cherish the story that each piece embodies and I am so happy I was able to make my art into something so meaningful. My biggest hope is that you guys can find meaning for yourselves in these pieces. I hope one of these messages sparks something in you. I hope when you see one of these sweatshirts in your closest, it reminds you of the potential for the moment you’re in. I hope you do something that you may not have, had you not been reminded.

You deserve to make the most of right now.

xoxo -Paige
